ORDER OUT OF CHAOS

Obediah, a friend recently told me she has a feeling of impending upheaval in the second quarter of this year. What can you tell me about that?

Chaos is always a possibility, but remember, out of chaos comes change. In the beginning before the worlds were created, there was chaos - that is, no order. When the Universes were formed, everything changed and became perfect order.

The physical world operates in cycles - the turning of the earth around the sun in a year, for instance. The menses of a woman in 28 days. Spring, summer, autumn, winter. There are also cycles in human understanding. The so-called Dark Ages, centered in fear, fell away as mankind developed a greater awareness of connectedness with the Creative Source. This was extreme change, and I sense extreme change developing once again. You are about to witness a new cycle - a more compassionate, loving society, but know that it develops out of resistance. There are those who would not want it to change for fear of diminishing their power.

What is your part in allowing a more peaceful transition? Take a good look at what you are contributing to Universal Consciousness with your thoughts, words, and actions. Are you sending out thoughts of peace, or are you in fear of what may - or may never - come? Are you letting those in authority know what you want to see, or are you simply criticizing that authority from afar? Are you doing your part by doing what you know helps sustain your planet? Are you looking at those who trigger your buttons as perfect expressions of spirit?

I would say to you that, if you are in a "right" frame of mind; that is, knowing you are one with your Source, you will not be affected by anything that may be termed chaos or upheaval.

What are you doing to create a better world? Remember, you create your own experience. Are you creating out of fear, or love? 

It is all up to you.

PREDICTIONS FOR 2013

Although I rarely predict anything, I do have a few things to say about the earthly year 2013. My words are not so much predictions as they are recognition of the possibilities of peace, harmony and love. While it is true that humans have free will, there is one thing that will never disappear from what you may consider life on this planet. Love will always be present. The Source of all creation, which is love itself, will always be available to the man, woman or child who opens his or her heart to it. Even in the midst of apparent "not good", one can feel that love. Closing off the heart to the experience leads to a feeling of separation and despair. In truth there is neither.

Joy will abound when people recognize that they are never separated from Source Energy. Daily, you will find more and more people who know this truth, that what I call "The One" is all there is. You can place your bets on an increase of this knowledge in the coming year. In truth, we all know it, but some have not yet allowed the knowing in their conscious thinking.

That is about to change. In this thirteenth year of the century, many changes will occur - some because of resistance to love and some from embracing it. If you want to contribute to the shift from sleep to being fully awake, meditate daily on loving what is - not matter what it is. Love the butcher, baker, thief, priest, assassin, child, lover, or whoever else comes into your awareness. Love what is in the newspaper and, if the appearance is "not good", know it is not the truth. Love heals, so love the dis-ease, the ache, the heartbreak, and know that none of it is true. Love the fish, the goose, the tiger, the tree, the ocean, and all of nature if you want to see a healed planet.

Love the food you eat and the water you drink, and give thanks for how these things nourish and nurture your body.

Love the servant and the king, the worker and the boss, the entrepreneur and the executive. All are necessary and all are deemed good.

Above all, love yourself. Only then will this physical world open up to the wondrous possibilities that are available to you. You are greatly loved by all of us in this dimension, more than you could ever imagine. Allow it to be a part of your awareness.

Know that, in 2013, all is well. Eliminate judgment of the appearance of anything less, and the world will open to a whole new understanding of the inter-connectedness of everything and everyone.

In truth, there is no "other". The other is you and you are it, for we are all one.

So it is.

Obediah, what is compassion?

Obediah: Compassion comes from a desire of the individual to alleviate suffering. The better road is to look at suffering, at least where another human is concerned, as a conscious or subconscious choice. When you do this, you can honor the other's choice and simply love and respect him for what he has chosen.

Knowing the truth of another's perfection is a far better way to help him than to have sympathy.

Comments on the Mayan Calendar & 12/21/12

Question:  What can you tell us about December 21, 2012, Obediah?

This is a date that has struck fear in the hearts of many, but I tell you now the fear is for naught. The end of the Mayan Calendar as it is seen is not the end of the world, although it can be construed as the end of the world as we know it. The calendar was written in segments and there are many other segments to be discovered. Each part of the calendar covers centuries and what appears to be an ending actually signifies a leap in the evolutionary process. Where once evolution was primarily physical, the brain developed slowly; with that development, understanding and awareness of that which is greater than the physical gradually brought the human race to its current place in evolution. But get ready! Things are about to change as we see an astounding evolution of consciousness.

With change, comes resistance. You have already seen the tendency to push back against what is inevitable transformation. Although the evolutionary shift will not happen over night, evidence of the shift will be monumental and will seem to take place quickly. But it is only the beginning. Humankind is headed toward a kinder, gentler, longer-living existence regardless of the upheaval that precedes the movement in that direction.

The planet, itself, is in a state of flux. This is why we see so many earthquakes and odd weather – hot where it should be cold, cold where it should be hot; deluges of rain, floods, and tornadoes. All of this is leading to an understanding that consciousness affects even weather, ecology, and the quality of your crops. Those who are consciously preparing for the shift – those who glimpse the good that is coming – these are the people who will sustain the equilibrium of the planet.

You may ask what you can do to assist this change. I tell you now that you, and each of you, are more important than you can imagine. I would ask you to maintain an attitude of expectancy and a consciousness of gratitude. Do your inner work and take responsibility for your own emotional maturity. A daily meditational process will assist you in creating a common unity of purpose. It is this that will open you to receive the many blessings that are already flowing your way.

Be vigilant in your relationships with one another. Be willing to speak the truth to those you love, and be vulnerable to the truth when it is presented to you as well.

Know that some of your relationships will disappear for there are those who will not wish to participate in honoring change. On the other hand, other relationships will deepen and sweeten, and new people will, seemingly, miraculously appear in your life to cultivate mutual growth.

Those of you who are spiritually aware will greatly assist the shift in consciousness that is destined for humankind as you continue to know the truth that you – we – are all one. There is truly no separation except what we create ourselves; and that which we perceive as separation is the crux of the fear that causes seeming chaos. Yet remember, out of chaos comes order.

There are old souls eager to be born, who will change the world even further; and there are young people even now who are connected with our side of the veil in ways you can only imagine. Do not look down on those who are different, for they may be the catalyst for change in your world. I speak, for instance, of the autistic, because when you discover how to communicate with them, you will discover they have knowledge beyond knowledge. They are truly connected to cosmic consciousness. It is not theirs to learn to communicate, it is yours.

By 2020, you will see advances in technology that far surpass all the developments that have occurred in the past hundred years. Imagine the leap from horse and buggy to manned satellites in space; from the telegraph to Iphones and Ipads; from cannons and muskets to nuclear bombs and drones. Multiply that by a thousand, and you can only imagine the leap in technology to come in the next few years. Not only will it be advanced, but it will help create a kinder, more ecologically friendly world. Current business will drop away and new ones will be formed. More emphasis will be placed on sustainable technologies.

It is, perhaps, unfortunate that there will still be turmoil in the world, despite the evolutionary shift, and much of it is all in the name of religion. It will be many more years before the masses understand that religious preference does not matter. Connection with the One you call God matters. That connection is personal and can be done without church or mosque or temple or synagogue. Organized religion is a method of control. Even those immersed in so-called New Thought (which is actually Old Thought remembered), feel this control. It serves many well and is not wrong unless forced upon others. Not wrong, but not necessary. The best of any religion merely serves to make humans aware that there is something beyond the physical.

December 21, 2012, will pass quietly. Those who will stand on a hill awaiting their ascension into heaven will realize by midnight that they have only three more shopping days to purchase the Christmas gifts they didn’t buy because they expected the world to end.

I would say to you what you may already have heard from one or more of your earthly teachers, remember that there is a Power for good that is greater than you are. Allow it to use you.

SIMULTANEOUS LIVING

There are many theories about simultaneous living. I will tell you the correct ones. You may have heard the phrase, “God is everywhere present.” In reality, YOU are everywhere present. You cannot separate your soul from the One Soul, although you can individualize your expression of it. Separation and duality are non-existent except as you perceive separation and duality as real.

There are two ways to look at living more than one life at a time. Your essence, which you call soul, is capable of being in more than one place at a time (everywhere present) and you may actually choose to live in more than one body in one space of time. And wouldn’t it be interesting if you one day would meet yourself? It is unlikely, however, because of prior agreement not to do so. And it is unusual for a soul to choose this, but instead trying to cram lessons and teachings into one life alone.

More probably, however, is that you have lived before (you have). Your essence is carried in the DNA of every body you inhabit. That DNA is passed on from generation to generation. YOU are passed on from generation to generation; and while your soul appears to leave the body at death, a small part of your Everywhere Presence never leaves human form and continues to learn and teach along with the individual who comes into form by choice. Within your body today, is the essence of the first soul to pass along his (and her) DNA from parent to child, so although “you” are the predominant soul, you are in harmony with the souls of every one of your ancestors who are still a part of you, all of whom are learning and teaching the lessons YOU came here to learn as the person you currently are. And YOU are living as a small part of many lives because of the DNA YOU have passed along in former lives. Does this make sense?

I think so. Is that the way we live ALL lives simultaneously?

Obediah: Aha! Now you’ve got it. And can you also “get” that a part of you remains separate from the human you? A part of you will always remain in the higher realms. You may call this your Higher Self.

What exactly is your Higher Self?

Obediah: Your Higher Self is the greatest part of who you are—a spark of the One Soul Essence that exists in all of creation, and which is both Creator and Creation Itself.
